Slowly warmer today, but near 90º for Friday AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Temperatures will warm above normal today and Friday, but cloudcover will mean a wide variety of highs all dependent on how quickly the skies clear where you are.Mainly cloudy skies and patchy fog blankets the I-35 corridor through early to mid-afternoon in the Austin Metro, while clouds are already breaking apart to the east and west. Clouds will gradually break apart later today with afternoon highs climbing into the low 80s in Austin, but upper 80s in the Hill Country and our Eastern Counties. (AP) — Five law enforcement officers were shot and wounded Thursday morning in an incident near the east-central Minnesota city of Princeton, authorities said.The suspect was not in custody and the incident was ongoing hours later.Three of the officers were taken to North Memorial Hospital in the Minneapolis suburb of Robbinsdale while two were taken to a hospital in St. Cloud, said Robbinsdale Police Capt. New York State Forest Rangers responded to a call for help from the group, which veered off a hunter's trail on the way back from a beaver pond.
